Gender and Institutions: Guiding Questions Working Paper

Publisher: BRIDGE
Publication Date: Aug 1999
Sector Wide Approaches (SWAps) form the main framework for Danida's development assistance and SWAps are increasingly being adopted by donor agencies as an effective and efficient way to ensure that development initiatives have national reach and ownership. Danida has developed a series of guidelines to ensure that sector programming integrates gender equality concerns. The Guiding Questions Gender and Agriculture serve as a tool for development practitioners for assessment of various reports, studies and Sector Programme Support Documents at the different stages of the programme cycle. They cover credit and savings, irrigation and livestock. Each section is separated into subsections under which questions for consideration are listed, suggested actions cited and examples given.
